                                      THE PARADIGMS

While leadership theory has evolved throughout the past century, key components exist among past and present theories and models. The IDEAL Leadership paradigm is aimed at consolidating the vital features of effective leadership behavior and supporting the integration of “theory” into everyday practice. The IDEAL Leadership paradigm is presented in a way that allows the practitioner to better understand the meaning and value that lies within various theoretical constructs. The intention of this paradigm is to help those in leadership roles utilize the essential components of effective leadership practice.

In order to fully develop as a human being, it is first necessary to understand the components that make up the “human condition.” M.A.P.S. serves as a paradigm for: 1) understanding “who we are”, and 2) propelling us toward self-actualization. The M.A.P.S. paradigm filters life through six interconnected dimensions: the mental, moral, affective, physical, social, and spiritual. M.A.P.S. is configured to promote personal development, health, and well-being.

Attitude, belief, growth, and resolve are fundamental to holistic educational practice. For those who prescribe to a holistic form of education, the ingredients of leadership, knowledge, meaning, and personal development come into play. The Intelligent Educator paradigm draws from the behavioral sciences and field of technology to form a model that considers the learning and development needs of present day learners. Applications of conceptual teaching, constructivist learning, technology integrations, leadership behavior, and the “self & social sciences” are a part of The Intelligent Educator paradigm, which aims to produce a “change of consciousness” in the classroom.
